Fun Fact…

We all know that there exists this this called the “Federal Reserve” and that it makes money magically appear when Congress asks for it…or something. The amount of people who care are few, which is about the same amount of people who can explain it. Now that banks have been failing, “The Fed” has gotten some more attention, so learning about it – and how your money is manipulated and controlled by a bank that is not Federal and has no Reserves – might be important.

The Federal Reserve is what’s known as a “central bank”, and you may be surprised to learn it’s not the first one. The United States has had multiple central banks in it’s history, all of which failed, some in quite spectacular fashion. Thomas Jefferson – Founding Father of the U.S., primary author of the Declaration of Independence, and 3rd President – said this about central banking:

“A private central bank issuing the public currency is a greater menace to the liberties of the people than a standing army. We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.”

As of this article, the national debt of is approximately $31,667,502,500,000.00. That’s nearly $32 TRILLION dollars, which means that if the national debt was a stack of $100 bills, it would be about 1.16 BILLION miles long.

The sun is 93 million miles away, so that stack of our debt would reach to the sun and back over six times.
